Back to sunny!
Welcome back to summer time in Sydney. This weekend we had beautiful weather! Saturday and Sunday were both pure sunshine and about 85F. This weekend was one for the books. The highlight of the weekend was by far Saturday. Saturday was Mardi Gras here, attracting up to 500,000 people to Sydney and my neighborhood for the parade. For those of you that do not know, Mardi Gras in Sydney has nothing to do with Fat Tuesday or Lent, but Gay and Lesbian Pride. The parade was one of glitz and glamour never failing to shock you.
I spent the first part of day on a long run/walk through Centennial Park. Amazingly, my i-pod worked again for six songs, before quiting and forcing me to carry it for the rest of the run. Upon my return home, several housemates were in a festive mood. We made a quick run to the Bottle-O and the grocery store. We had a bbq at our place and invited scores of people over. Stefani and I went for a walk along Oxford St to see the preparation and catch a glimpse of all the costumes. At 19:00 we all walked around the corner, stood on our chairs and watched the two hour parade! A great time was had by all!
Clearly this entry is not working. I am not really in a blogging mood and I just cannot get myself to type much more. I will put together a better post in the coming days.
Life here is going well. I have training for my job tomorrow so that should be fun. Xavier moves in on Thursday, which is pretty exciting too.
I wish I was home for this blizzard! I really enjoy snow storms.

You should have seen the sideburn-mustache combination I had the other day. You should have dad send you the picture I sent him.. It was awesome.
Hi Badam!
Glad to hear you're doing well despite the lack of tunes! Keep us posted about your new job and roommate. Very exciting! Are you taking any pictures? We miss you here in WBL. In your absence, we bought a fish. She is a pretty beta named Muck! Enjoy the warm weather for me and have a wonderful, safe weekend!
