At long last!!!!!
It sure has been a really long time since my last true post, almost a month!!!! As you all know, the holiday season can be very busy (especially when you are working two jobs, travelling, and going to Christmas parties). I will get you all back up to date through a couple of different posts (to help break it up for both you and me). I will start with the beginning of December because that is where I left off. I hope to have you all caught up within the next week, so check it out.
Here we go. Saturday, December 10 was a Kaiden (Emily's family was in town) free for all. I first met up with her family in Kensington park where we toured Kensington Palace (the late home of Princess Diana). This is one sight I had not toured during my stays, so it was nice to finally see inside. There were apartments that we got to see with some interesting architecture as well as a couple of rooms devoted to Diana full of photographs, dresses, and quotes about the wonderful woman. Diana was really an icon here in the UK. She married into the royal family as just a normal woman. The public instantly fell in love with her smile, beauty, and amazing personality. I have heard many stories about her and how the city was mesmorised by her glowing enthusiasm and love for helping children in Africa. Several memorials exist throughout the city. In addition to her personality, she also brought the UK two sons (which the girls of the world have equally fall in love with). William and Harry have really taken over the fantasies of many women (lots of you girls reading this too, I know). Alex...I am pretty sure that they would not be interested in you, so do not even try. After the palace tour, we walked to Notting Hill for lunch.
Lunch consisted of Indian food and interesting service, or the lack of. The food was not terribly good and we were in a hurry to get to the Portobella Road market. Once at the market we walked a bit. Emily, her dad, and myself all decided to try out a pub, The Castle and start a workld tour of beer. We had three half pints from all over Europe. Her sisters and mom finally finished shopping and from there we wnet on to Bayswater to catch a football match and some dinnner. Post dinner, we purchased a Tennants Super for Emily's family to sample and man did they fall in love with it (I ended up bringing the majority home with me).
I got home, changed and then met Emily, her sister, her flatmate, and her British friend and his brother at a night club in Oxford Circus. Emily and her friend new the manager of this club so were got in for free, jumped the queue, and received a free drink. I would have to say we felt like rock stars (again!). The night was quite fun. We danced and chatted and had a wonderful time. It was great!
Well, this post has successfully caught you up on day, I need to be more brief. My internet time is running out and therefore I am not going to continue typing any more. In the next blog update, you can look forward to hearing about a £10 million pound flat, the Fiesta Bowl (nothing to do with American football) and Salzburg Austria. This is it for the time being. Have a great Saturday and I will chat with you more later!
Peace,
Adam
